Myrna Tetz recently retired as the managing editor of the Adventist Review. Myrna’s career opportunities before and after the mothering of two children included teaching at Walla Walla College Academy and Canadian University College, dean of girls at Little Creek Academy, conference health and communications director at the British Columbia Conference, and college recruitment and public relations vice president at Canadian University College.
Myrna co-authored We Can Keep Them in the Church with Dr. Gary L. Hopkins.
Gary Hopkins is currently the Director for the Center for Prevention Research and the Associate Director for the Institute for Prevention of Addictions at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. He graduated from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. He went on to earn a Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Public Health from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. He has been doing research on young people and the behaviors that they are at risk to be involved with for several years. He tours around the world giving lectures and seminars on how to help kids in a positive way to better manage the difficult choices most of them will have to make in today’s times.
